Make Money With Wordpress And Matched.co.uk
Everybody out there at the moment is trying to make money from their blog in one way or another, and one great way I found recently was via matched.co.uk, who will pay you up to £75 per month just for putting their ads on your sites.
This is great, but the way they do it is by allocating you one ad per page, up to 5 pages per site which can be a problem for wordpress users:
- Because the wordpress editor interferes with the ad code if it's pasted into a post
- Because if you were to dump all the ads in to your sidebar so they appear on all pages they'd look a mess
To get around this, I have written a neat little ad rotator plugin / sidebar widget for matched ads which will display each ad correctly in the sidebar of each page you have an ad allocated to.

Not really.
To be honest I’ve not been looking that hard.
I just try and get some return on my blogs if I come across an opportunity, rather than actively seeking out ways to make money from blogs.

No not really – though if matched aren’t taking international publishers yet they soon will be.
They are now paying via PayPal as well, so international publishers should be fine.
Don’t forget that turning off the visual editor in wordpress can be helpful, and learning PHP for things like if(is_category(x)) can help.
Matched.co.uk are great. Received 3 payments already. I joined one similar site last month and got payment 2. (for payment proof, check the link.)

Money4banners is a similar program one should check as well. It pays 3 pounds per site and you can add unlimited sites.
